Christmas Stocking Filler Ideas for your Teenage Girl.

You may think that Christmas stockings for teenagers will be expensive but they don’t have to be if you save the DVD’S and CD’S to go under the Christmas tree and add smaller treats to the stocking.

A lot of the items you can add are “necessities” which you would have to buy (or get talked into buying!) anyway such as stationary and toiletries as well as the little extras she sees and you treat her to.

You can also add items based on what she likes whether that is fashion and makeup where you could add lipsticks, eye shadow and mascara as well as fashion magazines, t-shirts, underwear and jewellery.
If she is artistic you could include paint, paper, beads and glue in her stocking.
If your teenager is sporty then add items based on her favourite sports such as leotards for dancing and gymnastics, swimming caps and goggles for the swimmer or if she is old enough vouchers for the gym!

If you use this list as a starting point and buy the items based on your teenagers tastes taking into account favourite colours, whether she likes girly things or is a complete tomboy, if she likes sparkly items, gold or silver etc and you won’t go far wrong!

You will notice that the gifts listed below are quite general; you can either go with the expensive versions – Think brand names! Or go into your local Dollar/Pound/Euro store and find the same items.
It’s entirely up to you how much money you want or have available to spend and I’m sure everything will be appreciated… Even if she doesn’t say so directly!

1. Candles and candle holders
2. Photo frames
3. Underwear and socks / tights
4. Toiletries, hair accessories and cosmetics (nail varnish, makeup brushes, deodorant, face masks, bubble bath, lipstick, moisturiser etc.)
5. Notebooks / diary / journal and Pens.
6. Cacti, pot plant or fake flowers with a vase or pot to hold them.
7. Magazines/books
8. Chocolate, sweets and chewing gum (Always a favourite!)
9. Handbag
10. Purse / wallet
11. Key ring
12. Ornaments / things for room such as a dream catcher, chimes, lamp etc
13. Clock – either a wall clock, alarm clock or a new watch.
14. Jewellery (earrings, necklaces, bracelets, rings etc)
15. Jewellery box (She will need to keep all the jewellery that was in the stocking somewhere!)
16. Pens and pencils as well as pen refills.
17. Disposable camera / photo album. If she already has a camera you could buy extra film and vouchers for photo developing.
18. Writing paper / envelopes / cards
19. Posters or postcards to decorate bedroom as well as blue tack or drawing pins
20. Storage boxes / magazine holders / desk tidies
21. Mobile phone top up cards or a prepaid phone card
22. Mobile phone accessories such as a new cover, ring tone, game or picture icon
23. Teddy bear.....Well you have to buy one more to keep the others company!
24. Gift vouchers for clothes, cinema tickets, restaurants/cafes, beauty salons (for a manicure, facial etc)
25. Electronic hand held games - Not just for boys!
After all of that if you get stuck for ideas simply listen to your teenage girl when you are out shopping. Take notes of the ‘’I like that…….. Oh wow……… and so on!!

Most importantly have fun collecting all the little items that you know she will love and then watch her open them on Christmas morning….. Feeling the parcel, trying to guess what it is then ripping open the paper to find the surprise!
